Namiki

She ran with all her might, flying past the village and into the depths of the jungle. Her breathe raced as her heart pounded inside her chest. They knew. They had found out somehow. It was only a matter of time and the chief would want her dead soon enough. It would be her life or Namiki. The thought of her name quickened her pace and her lungs burned as her feet pounded on the uneven earth, carrying her through the muddy, overgrown mangroves. She raced past tall, thick coconut trees. Her eyes darted from one tree to the next, wary of spies although by now they may have already discovered Namiki in her hiding place. Tears welled in her eyes as she thought of that possibility and the things they would do to her. NO, her mind exploded and she ran even faster. She closed off her mind to her worries and concentrated on conjuring up some energy from her surroundings, chanting breathlessly as she continued to sweep across the jungle. As she chanted, her body slowly became lighter and she felt her pace widen, covering more distance with each stride. The burning dulled and her lungs expanded. The power surged through her and the jungle became a blur as her body whirled across a narrow strip of land and up a tall hill. She ceased her chanting and came to an abrupt stop behind a hibiscus bush that stood in front of a row of coconut trees. She dropped to her knees, crawling behind the bush, positioning herself on one side and listened, keeping her eye on the tallest tree.

MORE TO COME...I HAVE MORE MORE MORE. SO LITTLE TIME TO POST THOUGH.
